Our Mission:
The team at BetterEssayWriting.com is focused on helping eliminate learning barriers. We believe that academic success shouldn’t start with financial means. Too often those who need an academic boost are are unable to find it due to limited financial means or just feeling confused by traditional educational models. Our learning systems were designed to provide that boost– the clarity young people need to see learning differently.
Our Story:
As families began returning to in person learning 2021, Ms. Rae noticed that a number of students were missing their recreational activities with Choreography by Rae due to having to fix sagging academic scores. With an online book club being Ms. Rae’s first online course offered in March of 2020, she found herself seeking to take the success of her young learner’s book club and combine it with her past experiences as both an essay tutor and teaching artist. Fully aware that her time at both San Francisco State University and Saint Mary’s College included being in courses where many students were confused by the process of essay writing (and some sought her assistance with their essays), she decided to create a series of writing programs that would make essay writing easier. She launched Essay Introduction to Middle School Essay Writing on Outschool and received a positive response from families, in fact some parents started asking for classes for their younger children as well. Since 2021, Ms. Rae has created curriculum for grades 2- 12 and has helped numerous students improve their essay writing skills regardless of any dyslexia, autism, or anxiety diagnoses her students may have. She encourages students to work from a place, “better, not best” and encourages them to write any ideas that they have, even the bad ones, since this is the fastest way to “seeing” ways to improve their work. In 2023, in an effort to help more families, Ms. Rae founded BetterEssayWriting.com where she and her team provide private tutoring for students and work with homeschool groups to help learners feel empowered through writing. Ms. Rae holds a TOEFL certification and a bachelor’s degrees in the Performing Arts.
