Requesting Class Time Changes

Once a class/ service has begun we work to keep the class/ service at the agreed upon time. We understand that students may experience a disruption in their schedule that might cause them to request a lesson take place at a different time. Please review our policies regarding requesting class time changes.

Request to Reschedule

    Families should provide at least 24 hours notice to reschedule a class or tutoring session. It is understood that less than 24 hours notice is sometimes unavoidable. We are proactive in working with families to reschedule when emergencies arise.

    Non-emergency request to reschedule (doctor’s appointment, school meeting) should be received at least 48 hours before the scheduled class time.

    If the student is sick and you are unsure whether they will be able to attend class, then let us know as soon as possible. Contacting us 30 minutes before class, stating that the student had a fever that morning, creates a stressful situation for all involved. By communicating needs and concerns, we can help plan accordingly.

    Emergency request to reschedule (internet failure, sudden illness ) should be communicated as soon as possible via text or email.

    Request to Transfer Classes:

    If your child does not find that a class is a good fit, then let us know. We are happy to help your learner move to a book club that they are wild about or transfer to a less challenging writing class. Just send us an email.

        Request to Withdraw from a Class:

        In the event that a student wishes to withdraw from a class and does not wish to transfer to a different class, the family can request to withdraw the student. A request to withdraw must be made in writing via email to prevent any charges for a student no show. Withdraw request are subject to’s refund policy.

        Student No Show:

        Students who do not cancel their scheduled class or tutoring session, and do not attend the scheduled session, are subject to a No Show fee equal to the cost of the missed session. No further lessons will be scheduled until payment is made or the payment request is approved by Class Wallet.
